Overview

Once a market is proposed for resolution, it goes into a 24-hour challenge period. Anyone who disagrees with the proposed outcome can dispute it.

How disputes work

  1. The AI resolution agent proposes an outcome (YES or NO).
  2. A 24-hour dispute window opens.
  3. To dispute, you pay a dispute fee of $1.
  4. If the dispute is valid, the outcome is reconsidered.
  5. Each subsequent dispute round costs 1.25x the previous round, for example $1 -> $1.25 -> $1.56 -> ...
  6. If no valid dispute is raised within the window, the outcome is final.

What happens after a dispute

Disputes are reviewed by the AskMagnus team. Your dispute comments and evidence will weigh towards the final resolution. If the dispute changes the outcome, the corrected result becomes final and winners redeem at $1.00.

Warning: Dispute fees are non-refundable. Only dispute if you have strong evidence that the proposed outcome is incorrect.
