Market Orders

A market order lets you buy shares immediately at the best available price whenever there are available orders to match.

Once you've signed up and deposited funds, you're ready to trade. Here's a step by step guide to get you started.

How to place a market order:

  1. Go to the Markets page and find a market you want to trade.
  2. Select the Buy or Sell tab.

Example:

If YES is available at $0.80 and you buy 10 shares, the trade value is $8.00 before fees. If only some shares are available at $0.80, the rest may fill at higher prices.

Market orders are the fastest way to enter or exit a position, but you do not control the exact execution price.

Before placing a Market Order

Check the available price, estimated quantity, fee, and total before confirming. In a market with low liquidity, your average price may be worse than the first price shown.

Use a Limit Order when price control matters more than immediate execution.
